Mike Flaskey

Mike Flaskey is a long-time executive and current Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Resorts, a world-leader in the hospitality, vacation ownership and entertainment industries. Mike has more than twenty-five years of executive leadership experience.

Mike is an avid outdoorsman and conservationist, as well as a professional hunter and fisherman. He learned the love of hunting and fishing from his grandfather as a child in North Carolina. His passion is bow-hunting mature whitetail bucks: he has harvested multiple record-book bucks with his bow, including a 201 3/8 inch whitetail. Mike’s fishing career started when he began working as a mate on charter boats during the summer off of fifth grade. He worked out of the world-famous Oregon Inlet Fishing Center for Marvin Mann on The Playboy. The following summer, he worked for the legendary Captain Alan Foreman out of Pirates Cove Marina, and he continued to work for Captain Foreman in the summers off the coast of the Outer Banks of North Carolina until his graduation from high school. After graduation, Mike obtained his 100-ton ocean operator captain’s license and began running charters off the coast of North Carolina before eventually transitioning into the vacation ownership industry, where he currently serves as the CEO of a global company with 437 resorts in 37 countries around the world.

Throughout his tenure at Diamond Resorts, Mike has developed strategic partnerships and relationships with numerous prominent sporting and entertainment professionals that resulted in the creation and growth of our innovative Events of a Lifetime® franchise, the Diamond Concert Series™ and, most notably, the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, an internationally-televised, professional/celebrity golf tournament officially sanctioned by the LPGA. The tournament, previously known as the Diamond Resorts Invitational, has a strong philanthropic arm and in three short years has raised over $3.7 million in charity.

Mike is also an accomplished athlete, and has played competitive baseball and football from a very early age, culminating with his induction into the Limestone College Athletic Hall of Fame as a standout center fielder under the coaching tutelage of MLB Hall of Famer and Diamond Resorts Ambassador Gaylord Perry. Upon graduation from college, he continued to be involved in baseball as a talent scout for the Montreal Expos.

Mike has created and currently manages Taylor Creek Sportsman’s Club in Osceola, Florida, a 7,000-acre ranch with some of the state of Florida’s finest hunting and fishing.
